SISU Awards is an award that is created by Fygstermedia. Idea became from athletes struggles, how they work through difficulties and still show up, everyday to put in the effort.
I am giving this award for the victory that was not visible, from those battles that nobody saw or very few did. This is for those athletes that reminded us, what athletism truly is. And we thank you for it.
Here are the SISU athletes for this year
Female SISU lifter: Miira-Mari Muukkonen
Male SISU lifter: Eetu Hautaniemi
Young SISU lifter: Inka Tiainen
Masters SISU lifter: Terhi Lumme
Alla these athletes had many difficulties this year, but they kept going, working towards that comeback. Through everything they showed that not every victory is in the books, or the biggest lifts, sometimes it was simply refusing to give up.
Thank you for showing us what it takes.
